Dermaplaning

Dermaplaning is a non-invasive method of skin rejuvenation, achieved by removing the top layers of dead skin, oil and debris with a medical grade tool. It's a great way to deeply exfoliate the skin without the use of harsh chemicals and is most effective when performed by a trained professional.

Key Benefits

  • stimulates new cell growth

  • improves superficial pigmentation and skin tone

  • improves the appearance of fine lines and pore size

  • suitable for sensitive skin and rosacea

  • removes vellus hair

  • instant results

FAQ's

Will my hair grow back thicker?

Absolutely not! In short, the Vellus hair or 'peach fuzz' on your face grows out of a very shallow follicle. The thicker, darker hair on your upper lip, under arm ect. is much stronger and develops from normal bodily changes/hormones, not from removal.

Does it hurt?

Not at all - it's often likened to the feel of a stiff toothbrush gently rubbing on the skin!

Do I have to keep getting it done?

It depends if you have a particular skin concern you'd like to improve long-term. For example, the correction of acne scars and pigmentation would require treatment every 3-4 weeks over a period of time. Some clients like to have it done every 4-6 weeks to maintain healthy cell turnover and some will have just one treatment before a special occasion.

If you would like to do a course of treatments to target a specific skin concern, Natalie offers loyalty cards covering a 9 month period with 25% and 50% discounts.

How long does treatment take?

Treatment usually takes 1hr

Can I put make-up on straight after?

There is very little downtime with Dermaplaning so yes, you can put make-up on afterwards. Although it is always advised to let the products used sink into the skin and let any redness settle first. Most clients don't like to wear make-up straight after and just want to enjoy their fresh, new skin for a while.
